Winter is Coming

It's based off of the myth of Hades and Persephone. I made my own character designs for the gods (*cough* because all Greek gods look the same in classical paintings *cough*) but I tried to incorporate a few of the symbols that are traditionally associated with them. Hades is often depicted holding a scepter and drinking horn, and he is associated with the cypress tree. Persephone is of course associated with springtime and flowers, but she's also associated with deer and grain, so I threw those in as well.

One thing that I didn't know until I read up on the myth is that Persephone is a complete hardass in the underworld. She is supposed to be even less forgiving than Hades, and she is said to bring the curses of the living into the realm of the dead.
